Winter Wonderland on Al Maryah Island

Tasked with designing and delivering Winter Wonderland on Al Maryah Island for the second year in a row, our goal was to highlight and bring to life the world within.

We did this by creating the essence of what it might be like in a snow-globe.

Mubadala’s Winter Wonderland offers visitors a world where happiness is at the heart of every interaction, activation and performance. Snow globes preserve worlds that serve as an anchor for happier memories from our childhoods. The event and the concept of what snow-globes are, share common ground that allowed us to create an event where every activity, show and touchpoint existed within the Winter Wonderland world.

A three-quarter snow-globe structure with a large opening housed a stage for performances and a large screen for movie nights. ‘Windows’ throw colour onto the stage when the sun hits them, and create a warm rainbow-like glow when lit up in the evenings.
